The position responsibilities primarily are focused on the design of electrical systems for new facilities, additions, and renovation projects. This will require providing technical leadership for the creation of construction drawings and specifications, existing system studies and master planning efforts. Qualified candidates will meet with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors, and others to address electrical engineering issues to develop effective working relationships. The majority of the project clientele includes K-12 Education, Commercial Development, and Health Care Facilities.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited higher education institution required.
1-3 years of experience in the consulting industry focused on the design of electrical systems preferred. Preferred systems design experience to include power distribution, fire alarm, data & communication, lighting, and emergency power systems.
Sustainable design experience a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Microsoft Office and industry related software proficiency.
Experience with Autodesk design tools (AutoCAD and Revit) preferred.
Experience with lighting software (Visual) a plus.
