Ringside Talent is looking for a Contract to Hire Controller for an industry-leading, nationally recognized company headquartered in Columbus. This position will report directly to the CFO and will convert to a permanent position within six months. The controller plays a significant role in the administration, financial and risk management operations of a company. We are seeking a hands on controller who can develop into a CFO role. Key responsibilities include days to reconciliations, a/p , payroll, tax, forecasting, budgeting, employee, relationships, employee benefits.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Work alongside Director and VP of Finance to implement projects
  • Implement best practices for the accounting department
  • Provide meaningful information to drive business improvements
  • Provide hands on leadership over the accounting and corporate reporting processes
  • Consolidate monthly financials with multiple business units
  • Manage and develop Accounting and Finance staff
  • Restructure and implement new guidelines for reporting internally
  • Handle daily cash management
  • Lead advancement of use of technology

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA/CPA preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • 8+ years experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills;
  • Results oriented
